Gel Polish in Leighton Buzzard
Gel polish is a soak-off gel that gives your natural nails a glossy look, adding strength and structure that lasts 1–2 weeks. I apply and cure gel polish under a lamp at Em's Beauty Room in Leighton Buzzard, so your colour is touch-dry and ready to go as you leave.
Who is it good for?
- •
It suits you if your standard polish chips within a week and you would like colour that stays neat between visits.
- •
It is a good choice when your natural nails are healthy and you want a low-maintenance, glossy finish.
Who it may not be suitable for
- •
It may not be suitable if you have a nail or skin infection, in which case the appointment may need to be postponed.
- •
Existing gel allergies or very weak, damaged nails can also affect suitability. I will check at the consultation.
How often will I need it?
Gel polish typically lasts one to two weeks before it grows out or lifts at the edges.
Most clients rebook for a soak off and reapply at that point. How long it lasts depends on how fast your nails grow and how you use your hands day to day.
What to expect
Before
A quick consultation, then clean, product-free nails where possible.
During
Shaping, cuticle care, then base, colour and top coats cured under the lamp. It is comfortable and there is no drying time.
After
Your colour is glossy and touch-dry immediately. Keep nails dry for the first few hours and avoid picking at the edges.

If this sounds right for you, pick a time that fits your day.
